For associations, societies and certification bodies

Community Platform for Associations

A member community where taking part counts toward recertification, and where you can see which members are drifting months before their renewal notice goes out.

Credit for taking part. Accepted answers, shared resources and attended events count toward the credentials members hold.

Renewal risk, early. Who is drifting, why, and what to do — months before your membership system notices.

Connected to your AMS. Member records stay in step with the system you already run, and signals flow back to your CRM.

Why this, and not a general community tool

Most association communities are a cost. This one is a reason to renew.

A community is usually sold on engagement — posts, logins, a busy front page. Your board renews it on something else: whether members stay, and whether the credential they hold keeps its value. A general platform measures the first and knows nothing about the second.

This one models both. Your members already have to earn credit to keep their credentials, so the community lets them earn it by doing the thing it exists for — answering each other, sharing what they built, turning up. And because it can see who has stopped taking part, it tells your membership team who to call while there is still time to change the outcome.

Engagement becomes something a member wants rather than something you have to chase.

What it does differently

Built around the credential, not just the conversation

Participation that counts toward recertification

Credit attaches to contributions that are judged, not merely frequent — an answer the asker accepted, a resource shared — and each rule is capped per cycle, so it cannot be farmed. Every member sees their own progress against their own cycle.

  • Your association sets what counts and how much
  • Credit follows each member's own certification date
  • One contribution never pays twice

See who is drifting before the renewal notice

Your membership system knows when a membership expires. It has no idea the member stopped turning up five months earlier. This ranks members by how their engagement has changed, gives the reason for each, and suggests one thing worth doing.

The most useful signal is one nobody else can produce: a member short of credit with a cycle closing is both likely to lapse and glad to hear from you.

Events where turning up earns the credit

Webinars, chapter meet-ups and courses with registration, capacity and a waitlist that fills in the order people joined. Reminders go out the day before, and recording attendance awards the event's credit to every credential each attendee holds — on attendance, never on registration.

A members-only event stays visible to members whose tier does not include it, with a way to upgrade. That is your clearest upgrade prompt, and it is usually hidden.

Everything a community needs

And the rest of it, done properly

Everything below works today. The integrations further down are where we connect it to the systems you already run.

Discussions and questions
Threaded replies, accepted answers, polls, topics and full-text search. Questions without an answer surface on their own, so nothing waits unseen.
Spaces
Open, members-only or invitation-only, each with its own moderators. A member sees a space their tier does not include, and what includes it.
Member directory and map
Search by expertise, region, industry or credential, and see where your members are — to the city, never to an address.
Private messages
One-to-one conversations with blocking and reporting. Your association decides who may message whom.
Resource library
Templates and working documents shared by members, each served only to people allowed into the space it came from.
News and digests
Staff-published announcements, and daily, weekly or monthly digests each member chooses for themselves.
Moderation and audit
Reports, first-post approval, member actions and a full audit trail. Moderators act where the content is, not from a separate console.
Recognition
Points and ribbons your staff define, and a leaderboard members can opt out of.
Employer accounts
Seats an employer bought against seats in use, which is the most persuasive fact in any group renewal.
Insight and reporting
What members search for and cannot find, what they read, and where engagement is rising or falling, with export.
White-labelled
Your association’s name, logo, colour and typeface throughout. Members see your association, not ours.
Accessible by default
Keyboard navigation with a visible focus ring, reduced motion honoured, and colour never the only signal.

Integrations

Connected to the systems you already run

A community is only useful next to your member record. We connect the platform to your association management system, CRM and sign-in as part of implementation — built against your own instance and tested on your data, not a generic connector you configure yourself.

Included todayBuilt for you during implementation

Association management

Member records, dues status, membership tier and credentials, kept in step with your AMS so nobody maintains two member databases by hand.

  • Impexium(built during implementation)
  • YourMembership(built during implementation)

CRM

Engagement and renewal-risk signals written back to the contact and the account, so your membership team sees who is drifting inside the tool they already work in.

  • Salesforce(built during implementation)
  • Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud(built during implementation)

Sign-in

Members sign in with the account they already have. No second password, and access ends when their membership does.

Learning and credentials

Credit earned in the community reported alongside credit from courses, so a member sees one recertification total rather than two.

Running something not listed? We are an engineering firm, and an integration is scoped on the first call like everything else. Product names belong to their owners and are used here only to say what we connect to.

Moving from another platform

Bring your community with you

Coming from Higher Logic, Hivebrite, Circle or an older forum, we move discussions, members, files and permissions across. The first migration is never the last one, so we run it against your data as many times as it takes before anyone switches over.

Why a rehearsal can run twice

Every migrated record keeps the identifier it had in your old system. A second run updates what the first one wrote instead of creating a duplicate, so a rehearsal on Tuesday and the real cutover on Friday land in exactly the same place — and old links still resolve.

Data and access

Your members' information, handled like it matters

One association per record
Every record belongs to exactly one association, and every query is scoped to it.
One place decides access
A single permission layer answers who may see what, across discussions, search, files, the directory and notifications — so there is no second, weaker copy of the rules to drift.
Private means private
A moderator reviewing a reported message sees the excerpt the member chose to report, and never the conversation around it.
Location to the city
The member map is capped at a city by construction. An address a member typed is never resolved more precisely.
Members choose
Off the map, out of the leaderboard, inbox closed. Each is a separate choice, because each is a different kind of exposure.
Files behind the rules
Uploads are type-checked and never served from a public path; every download re-checks access first.
Where it runs
Hosted by us, or deployed into your own Azure or AWS tenancy.

How it gets delivered

From first call to launch

  1. 01

    Scope

We map your spaces, member types and credentials, and agree which systems it connects to.

  2. 02

    Connect

Sign-in and your AMS first, because every other feature depends on knowing who a member is.

  3. 03

    Migrate

Discussions, members, files and permissions, rehearsed against your data as many times as it takes before cutover.

  4. 04

    Launch

Branded as your association, spaces set up, moderators trained — and the renewal-risk view live from the first week.

It pairs naturally with our AI assistant for associations: the discussions your members write here are exactly the knowledge an assistant needs to answer the next member who asks.

Questions

What associations ask first

Is this a replacement for Higher Logic?

It covers the same ground — discussions, a member directory, a resource library, events and digests — and adds two things a general community platform does not model: recertification credit earned from participation, and a renewal-risk view built from engagement. We migrate your existing community across as part of the move.

Can community participation really count toward recertification?

Yes, and your association decides what counts. Credit is attached to contributions that are judged rather than merely frequent — an answer the asker accepted, a resource shared — and capped per cycle so it cannot be farmed. Attending an event awards the credit set for that event, recorded on attendance rather than registration. Each member sees their own progress against their own cycle.

Does it connect to our AMS and Salesforce?

We connect it to your association management system and CRM during implementation, built and tested against your own instance. That includes iMIS, Fonteva, Nimble AMS, Impexium, YourMembership, Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Member records stay in step with your AMS, and engagement and renewal-risk signals are written back to your CRM.

Can members sign in with the login they already have?

Yes. Sign-in is connected to your identity provider during implementation — Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, or any SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect provider — so members have no second password and lose access when their membership ends.

How is renewal risk worked out, and is it AI?

It is scored from engagement — how recently a member took part in any way, whether they are short of credit with a cycle closing, whether they have attended or connected with anyone — and every member carries the reasons that produced their score. The scoring is deliberately explainable rather than a black-box model, because your team has to be able to say why a member was flagged before they contact them.

Is it branded as our association?

Yes. Your name, logo, accent colour and typeface run throughout, and members see your association rather than ours.

Who owns the community data?

You do. Everything can be exported, and the platform can be deployed into your own Azure or AWS tenancy rather than hosted by us.
